"Simple Joy" is an original, one-of-a-kind acrylic painting on stretched canvas. My work expresses my love of nature and the power of colors to bring us joy, as the viewer's response to color is immediate and unconscious. In fact I usually decide on the colors I want to use in a piece before I even decide on the subject. This piece is about soft pastels that feel sensual, creamy and lush, the shapes of flowers, the light on the arrangement, and the lack of detail which engages the viewer to mentally complete the image.
