This painting is about the many choices we have for places that make us happy, and how we want to get there. The boat may be on land, covered up, but the water is there waiting for it. This is also a hopeful metaphor in my personal and professional life. The inspiration for this image was a boat I saw while walking around the town of Apalachicola, Florida.
